Introduction
In 1995 Syed Naseer Hussain Hamdani has shifted from Kahori to Bandi Saman, where at that time, about 400 families had been living. Almost 90% of them were transferred from District Neelum and were from poor families.

There was not a single governmental school in that area except a private school. Due to the lack of education institutes in the community, the children used to play on the river bank and used to waste their time there. Consequently about 3 to 5 children used to get drown in the river every year.

Keeping an eye on the situation, Mr. Naseer Hussain Hamdani has decided to start a Madrassa in 1998 where all students used to get free Quran education. In 1998 Mr. Abdur Raheem Awan (Late) had donated a place for the mosque. With the help of different friends the mosques has been constructed which is now completed and is a Jameha Mosque.

In 1998 Darul Alum Hasainia Hamdania has been started in a rented house, where scientific and Islamic education was offered for the students that was mainly free for poor and orphans. In 2002 a separate building was constructed for the Darul Alum.

In 2005 a Hamdania Council came into existence with the help of friends.  Now the Darul Alum is providing the modern scientific education from Nursery to Matric. It also offers Darse Nazami inIslamic education. The Trust has been involved in the social development activities after the earthquake. It has provided books for the needy children after the horrible earthquake.

In 2008 the name of the Hamdania Council has changed to SHAH HAMDAN WELFARE TRUST. The fundamental objective of the trust is to To promote shah e Hamadan vision of social development through provision of education and skill enhancement for poverty alleviation.

Shah Hamdan Welfare Trust offers free study center where more then 1000 precious books are offered for study in the evenings.

The Trust is planning to start a computer center as well where the computer education would be offered to the poor and needy students. The trust is also planning to start the SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTERS  at different  places in the AJK to implement the vision of HAZRAT SHAH HAMDAN. And for that purpose a place has been donated by Mr. Syed Sabir Hussain Shah near the Srinagar Road in Jehlem Velly. Trust is also planning for starting a SHAH HAMDAN University where both the modern scientific ,the Islamic studies and different skill development courses would be offered.
